Welcome to Fort Lauderdale!


I hope you enjoy your stay in Fort Lauderdale.

I am very proud of my two bedroom condo, so I hope you like it!

All furniture is new and hardly used.

The building is quiet and has great parking.

Restaurants and bars are within walking distance.

Fort Lauderdale's great beaches are 10-15 min drive.

FORT LAUDERDALE VACATION RENTAL PROPERTY

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR STAY AT

    We hope your stay in Fort Lauderdale is great.  This information will help you with details about your stay. We provided a few amenities that you will not find in properties of this kind available for vacation rental in Ft Lauderdale to ensure that you are happy and that you give us a good review on Trip Advisor!

Description: Two bedroom, one bath, fully remodeled, second floor, quiet building, open parking, in the middle of Fort Lauderdale, minutes to the beach and restaurants/bars.

PARKING
You can use any of the parking spaces on the side on NE 5th Terrace.  Do not worry about the numbers that appear on them.

All doors and windows have to be closed to set the alarm

WIRELESS INTERNET:

Network: Abel (not Abel guest)
Password: fortlauderdale2011

    If for some reason it stops working, make sure all wires are connected properly. Also, disconnect the modem and the wireless router, wait 30 secs, and reconnect.
You will also find a printer available. The printer driver software (to install in your computer if needed) and paper are stored in the Media unit drawer closest to the printer.

MEDIA:

TV: There is only access to local TV channels. Make sure that the antenna on the back of the TV is connected and powered.

DVD: player has Netflix,  Vudu, Pandora.  You can use Netflix  (movies and TV shows via internet with no commercials) and Pandora (internet music)  for free.
To access Netflix and Pandora, turn the power on in both remote controls (Panasonic TV and Samsung DVD).  You will see a menu. Choose internet with the arrows on the Samsung remote. (press the button in the middle of the arrows to select)

You will see a choice of apps on the TV screen. With the arrows, you can choose what you want. Note: Vudu is a paid service and if you decide to watch any movies there, I will be paying for it.  You can do so as long as you let me know and add the amount to your payment.  Netflix and Pandora are free, however.
Volume is controlled from the Panasonic remote control.

KITCHEN

You will find all you need. Pots, pans, utensils, plates, coffee maker, toaster, wine cooler, etc. There are also food and wine that you are free to use as long as you replace what you used before you check out.

THERMOSTAT:

77-78 degrees in summer and 72 in winter are good temperature settings.  If you need more info, there is a manual in one of the kitchen drawers.

CLEANING OF UNIT AND WASHING OF BED SHEETS AND TOWELS:

You will have enough towels (regular and beach towels) waiting for you.  Beds are made up with clean sheets.  Property manager will have the unit cleaned and towels/sheets washed after your check out, so don't worry about this.

BATHROOM:

You will find everything you need: shampoo, conditioner, soap, toilet paper, air freshener. You do not need to replace what you use in the bathroom.

BEACH STUFF:

There are some straw mats in the closet of the main bedroom along with one chair with an umbrella. Feel free to use them but please put them back in the same condition you found them. There are also two bed sheets that you will see in a hanging organizer in the main bedroom’s closet. They work nicely  for laying on the sand.  But they need to be washed before you check out.

LIGHTS:

The bedrooms are light by floor lamps and table lamps. Each room has a ceiling fan also

GROCERIES, LAUNDRY, LIQUOR STORE CLOSE BY:

There is a Publix supermarket at Five Points Plaza‎, 2633 North Dixie Highway, Wilton Manors, FL 33334-3724
Just drive north on Wilton Drive until you see it on your left.

The building has only one washer and one dryer, located in one of the rooms outside by parking lot on NE 5th terrace.  Jimmy will give you the key to that room and show it to you along with the property key.  If you have a lot of laundry and want someone to wash it and fold it for you cheaply, there is a good one (The Laundry Lounge) at 1950 Wilton Drive. The attendant will take care of you and they usually have clothes neatly ready in 3 hours.

NOISE:

The building is very quiet, and we like to keep it this way. Please no parties in the unit.

WINDOW SHADES:

The sun gets through the windows in the morning.  You will see wood blinds plus shades that make the rooms dark so that you can sleep well.

FORT LAUDERDALE FUN:

You will find some brochures on what to do in Ft Lauderdale, Please feel free to take and use them. You can put them back where you found them before you check in, please.

I recommend taking the water taxi, going to the beach, eating in the different good restaurants, going to Las Olas Boulevard to walk, also going for a walk on the Dania beach boardwalk, driving down to South Beach –  Lincoln Road, driving down to the keys if you have time, etc. You will find more details in the travel brochures and some maps that you will find in the kitchen.

Note: If you want to go to restaurants close by on Wilton Drive, you can call the hopper service and they will come pick you up and bring you back. All you give them is  a tip.  Their number is: 954-960-7999

GREAT FOR SANDWICHES AND BURGERS:  Rossie’s (on Wilton Drive). Gay owned but all kinds of people go. Fun place for friendly service, drinks and food. Most restaurants on Wilton Drive and good and reasonably priced.
RESTAURANT WITH WATER WAY VIEW: Chart House. (3000 NE 32nd Ave,  Fort Laud, 33308) No reservations required but suggested if you want to sit outside
MOVIE THEATER: Behind Target on Federal at Oakland Park
SHOPPING: The Galleria on East Sunrise Boulevard
